The partnership began in 2016 on the musical marketplace known as AirGigs. Producer Nolan Farmer contacted Yann to record over a prog rock song with a 7/4 time signature... To which Yann produced more than twenty layered tracks!

Two years on, the adventure took a new turn with Yann's visit to Nolan's home studio in Katy, TX. There the band recorded the instrumentals for Beatnik Neon's next
instalment, entitled Yoreself.
